Don't wait until trouble finds you. Nurse your vehicle to optimum health & make this year the best one yet!!!
Mind Your Battery
Wear and tear can take its toll on your car's insides as badly as its outsides. Have your battery tested by a trained technician and replace as needed.
Tread Lightly
Are your tires "balding"? Tire baldness simply means they've lost their treading abilities & are less capable of maintaining proper treading. Should your tires look on the naked/bald side of things, it may be time for new ones. Consider investing in snow tires if you live in areas with heavy snow fall.
Wipe Your Eyes
Can't see out your window? Wipers leaving a streaking mess across your windshield? Are they doing more harm than good? Time to remove and replace!!! Snow Wiper Blades may be a good idea as they minimize snow and ice accumulation. This is an easy and inexpensive task that can save you a world of damage. And if you're up to it, you can even do it yourself!
Pump Your Brakes!!!
If they squeak or they shake, you have a problem with your brakes! Brakes are one of the top sources of car woes. If your car squeals like it's in pain, chances are it's time for new brake pads. If it takes your vehicle an extended amount of time to come to a stop, it may be your brake pads, rotors, or both!!! Visit your neighborhood mechanic (like Town Porsche!!!) to have them serviced.
Other issues to take into consideration:
- All headlights and taillights should be inspected. Now that we've fallen back courtesy of daylight savings time, it gets darker much faster and lights are needed far sooner.
-Check your air filter. The easiest way to determine whether or not it should be changed is to simply hold it up to the light. If light passes through it, you're good to go. If not, time to change.
